Hertz opens car rental station in Trelleborg

Hertz is expanding in Skåne and is now opening a new rental station in Trelleborg, together with Bilia. Customers can now rent a car directly in the city, which was previously a blank spot on Hertz’s map of Sweden.

The station is run by Bilia at the company’s existing premises in Trelleborg. Initially, it is fully digital and unstaffed: customers book and manage their rental car online and pick up the car on site.

“Trelleborg is an important hub in southern Skåne and a city where we have long wanted to be able to offer our services again. Through the partnership with Bilia, we can now do so in a modern and convenient way. It feels great to fill this blank spot on the map,” says Anders Gatenheim, Chief Partnership & Advisory Officer, Hertz Sweden.

The initiative is aimed at both private individuals and businesses in Trelleborg and the surrounding area. It will be easier to rent a car locally from Hertz, without a detour via Malmö, Ystad or another nearby town.

“Thanks to the digital solution, we can establish ourselves in more locations while making the rental experience simple and flexible for the customer. Trelleborg is a good example of how we want to develop our station network going forward,” says Anders Gatenheim.

Hertz’s new rental station in Trelleborg opens on October 12, 2026. The station is located at Bilia, Hedvägen 111. You can book a car directly in Trelleborg from Hertz via autoprio.com.
